Former Ceylon Fisheries Corporation Chairman Mahil Senaratne was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Tuesday (18).
He was arrested over allegations that proper procurement procedures were not followed in establishing and maintaining fish sales outlets across the country.
Senaratne, the brother of former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, served as chairman of the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation from 2010 to 2012. (Newswire)
