Iran has warned countries along the southern Persian Gulf coast against providing assistance or facilities to US military forces amid the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, said countries that have declared they would not allow the United States to use their territories against Iran should be aware that Tehran was closely monitoring military activity in the region.
“This volume of military aircraft, especially refuelling planes, in regional bases is unlikely to be occurring without the knowledge of the host countries,” Abdollahi said in a message on Wednesday.
He warned that any assistance or facilitation provided to US forces would amount to participation with the US military.
“We warn: any assistance and facilitation provided to the aggressor U.S. army is tantamount to participation with U.S. military forces,” he said. (Newswire)
