The final rites of veteran Sri Lankan singer Dr. Nanda Malini will be held at the Borella General Cemetery today (22).
Her remains lie at the Nanda Malini Sangeetha Ashramaya in Nugegoda for the public to pay their last respects.
Pansukula rites will begin at 10 a.m., while public viewing will resume afterward and continue until 3:30 p.m.
The funeral procession will leave the Ashramaya at 3:30 p.m. for the Borella General Cemetery, where cremation is scheduled for 5 p.m. No ceremony will be held at the cemetery.
The legendary musician Nanda Malini died at her Nawala home on Aug. 20 at the age of 82. (Newswire)
