The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has launched an investigation into an incident involving England fast bowler Brydon Carse in Derby on Saturday night.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show the 31-year-old Durham pacer in handcuffs while being led away from a club by police officers.
The ECB confirmed on Sunday that it was aware of the reported incident and was looking into the circumstances.
“We are aware of an incident which is reported to have taken place in Derby last night and we are currently investigating,” an ECB spokesperson said.
The governing body said a further update would be provided when possible.
Carse is currently part of England’s squad for the second Test against Pakistan at Lord’s. He was also included in the squad for the opening Test at Headingley but did not play. (Newswire)
