The first Randoli Perahera of the historic Kandy Esala Perahera is scheduled to parade the streets of Kandy today (23), commencing at the auspicious time of 6.44 p.m.
The procession will travel along Dalada Veediya, Pansala Road, Deva Veediya, Colombo Street, Kotugodella Veediya, Cross Street and D.S. Senanayake Veediya before proceeding along Raja Veediya to conclude the first Randoli Perahera.
Police have implemented a special traffic plan in Kandy during the procession and have also announced alternative routes for motorists to minimise traffic congestion. (Newswire)
