11 New Envoys to Sri Lanka Present Credentials to President

Eleven newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (25) at the Presidential Secretariat.

The new envoys represented the Federative Republic of Brazil, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Austria, the United States of America, the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Ghana, Brunei Darussalam, the Republic of the Sudan, the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and the Republic of Panama.

  • Accordingly, the Ambassadors were:

Mr Jorge Geraldo Kadri – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sri Lanka of the Federative Republic of Brazil, based in Colombo.

Mr Wei Huaxiang – Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, based in Colombo.

Dr Robert Zischg – Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, based in New Delhi.

Mr Eric S. Meyer – Ambassador of the United States of America, based in Colombo.

Mr Francisco Manuel Comprés Hernández – Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, based in New Delhi.

Dr Mohammed Abdalla Ali Eltom – Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan, based in New Delhi.

Ms Nubiela Yanarith Ayala – Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, based in Hanoi.

  • The High Commissioners were:

Mr D.M. Salahuddin Mahmud – High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, based in Colombo.

Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso – High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana, based in New Delhi.

Mrs Siti Arnyfariza Md Jaini – High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam, based in New Delhi.

Mr Dharamkumar Seeraj – High Commissioner of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, based in New Delhi.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, along with Secretary to the President Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, was also present on the occasion.
