The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Retired Air Chief Marshal Thushara Indunil Fernando as the new Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
The position has remained vacant, and Fernando has been appointed on a contract basis with immediate effect.
The proposal to make this appointment was presented by the Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development and received Cabinet approval. (Newswire)
