The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for strong winds and rough seas for the sea areas extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil, valid until 10.30 am tomorrow (27).
Per the advisory, the sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar, and from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be rough at times with strong gusty winds up to 50-60 kmph.
The wave height may increase about 2.0 – 2.5 meters in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Matara. (Newswire)
