Police Headquarters has requested applicants who submitted online applications for Police Clearance Certificates on Aug. 20 to submit new applications following a system failure.
The Police Media Division said the computerized clearance data system became inactive at 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 20, affecting applications submitted on that day.
The system has since been restored, and applications for Police Clearance Certificates can now be submitted online as usual.
However, applications submitted on Aug. 20 were removed from the clearance data system following the system failure. Applicants who submitted applications on that date are therefore required to submit new applications.
The Police Clearance Certificate will be issued after the relevant reports are obtained for the new application.
The Rs. 5,100 fee paid for the previous application will be refunded to the credit card used by the applicant for the payment, according to the Police Media Division. (Newswire)
