Honda automobile owners in Sri Lanka have been urged to check whether their vehicles are affected by an ongoing SRS airbag system upgrade recall, with the safety work being carried out free of charge.
The recall covers selected model codes of several popular Honda vehicles, including the Civic, CR-V, Accord, Fit/Jazz, City, Insight, Stream, Odyssey, Integra and Crossroad.
Vehicle owners have been advised to check their recall status using their chassis number through Honda Sri Lanka’s safety recall portal.
The notice warns that failure to complete the required upgrade could result in injury to the driver or front passenger if the airbags are deployed during a collision.
Stafford Motor Co. (Pvt) Ltd., Honda’s sole authorised automobile distributor in Sri Lanka, said the upgrade will be carried out completely free of charge, including for vehicles that were not imported or previously maintained by the company. (Newswire)
