Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha has met the Most Ven. Mahanayake Theros of the Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters and sought their blessings for stronger ties between India and Sri Lanka.
In a social media post, Jha said he paid his respects to the Mahanayake Theros and sought their blessings for strengthening the fraternal relationship between the two countries.
The High Commissioner also briefed the senior Buddhist prelates on India’s ongoing support for Sri Lanka’s development efforts following the cyclone.
Jha said he also informed them about several planned and ongoing bilateral projects which are expected to provide significant benefits to the people of Sri Lanka.
India and Sri Lanka continue to engage on a range of development and infrastructure projects across the country. (Newswire)
