Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this morning, was brought before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Rajapaksa had been summoned to the Commission to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged bribery incident involving the acquisition of wide-body aircraft for SriLankan Airlines
He was arrested after recording the statement and later produced before the court. (Newswire)
