Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of three Chinese nationals and the murder of one of them at Colombo Port City.
The Colombo District Crime Division is investigating the incident, which occurred on July 23, 2026 and allegedly involved a group of Chinese nationals.
Acting on information received during the investigation, officers arrested a 54-year-old Chinese national wanted in connection with the case at Colombo Port City on Friday (4).
The case stems from a July 23 clash between two groups of Chinese nationals at Colombo Port City, during which three people were assaulted and one was abducted. The abducted man’s body was later found in Eheliyagoda.
Several suspects have already been arrested and remanded as the CCD continues its investigation. (Newswire)
