Police arrested 41 people during a raid on a social media-organized party in the Victoria area of Theldeniya on Sept. 5, police said.
The raid was carried out by officers from the Theldeniya Police Station following a tip-off.
Police said 36 men and five women were arrested during the operation.
Officers seized 947 milligrams of cannabis, 3.657 grams of hashish, 1.276 grams of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE, 18 narcotic pills and 21 illegal cigarettes.
Police also seized 35 cans of beer containing 500 milliliters each and 13 bottles of arrack containing 750 milliliters each.
The male suspects, aged between 21 and 40, are residents of Gelioya, Aluthwatta, Warakapola, Peradeniya, Ampitiya, Kandy and Hanguranketha.
The five women, aged between 22 and 43, are residents of Pallekele, Peradeniya, Hanguranketha, Dehiwala and Katugastota.
