The Italian Naval Vessel ‘ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi’ arrived at the Port of Colombo on Tuesday (09), for a replenishment visit.
The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the ship in accordance with time‑honoured naval traditions.
According to the Navy, the 180‑metre Landing Helicopter Aircraft Vessel is commanded by Captain Marco Guerriero.
During its stay in Sri Lanka, the Commanding Officer is scheduled to call on the Commander Western Naval Area, underscoring the longstanding naval ties and cooperation between Sri Lanka and Italy. (Newswire)
