
The Digital Transformation Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment convened for the first time this morning (11) at the Presidential Secretariat, under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra.
The meeting focused extensively on the programme to digitally transform the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Attention was also given to the digital transformation of the Consular Sections of Sri Lankan diplomatic missions overseas, alongside the integration of government institutions with the consular system.
Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage, Director General of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs K. K. T. Kumarasiri, former Director General of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sudantha Ganegamarachchi, Advisor to the Ministry of Digital Affairs Dr. Manoj Gamage, Head of Digital Transformation at GovTech Sri Lanka Michael Helm and other members of the Committee also participated in the meeting.
