The Committee on High Posts of Parliament has approved three appointments, including Sri Lanka’s new Ambassador to the Philippines and High Commissioner to Canada.
The approvals were granted at a recent meeting of the committee chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
The committee approved the appointment of Anzul Banu Jhan as Sri Lanka’s new Ambassador to the Philippines and Chandana Rohana Kumara Ambagolla as the new High Commissioner to Canada.
It also approved the appointment of Nusith Kumarathunga as the new Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Limited.
