The Sri Lanka AI Expo and Conference 2026 opened at the Monarch Imperial in Colombo on Tuesday, bringing together technology leaders, policymakers and innovators for a two-day event on artificial intelligence.
Organised by the Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-Mobitel under the theme “AI Amplified,” the event is part of Sri Lanka AI Week 2026. More than 35 exhibitors are showcasing AI solutions, with the exhibition open to the public free of charge.
The conference features more than 60 speakers from 16 countries, including representatives from Google, Alibaba, Huawei, ZTE and Deloitte. Discussions are focused on enterprise AI, policy and the use of machine learning in Sri Lanka’s digital economy.
Conference tickets for the main tracks sold out ahead of the event, organisers said. The programme is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday with the National AI Awards, which will recognise local innovators and startups. (Newswire)
