Sri Lanka opening batter Pathum Nissanka has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI tri-series in Pakistan, with Lahiru Udara likely to be named as his replacement.
Nissanka has been recovering from an injury sustained during Sri Lanka’s recent ODI series against England.
His absence will be a setback for Sri Lanka ahead of the tri-series, which also features Pakistan and England.
Udara is expected to join the Sri Lankan ODI team as a replacement, although an official announcement is awaited.
The tri-series will see each team play the other two sides twice, with the top two teams advancing to the final. (Newswire)
