A protest organized by “Janawarame Purawasiyo” (Citizens of the People’s Mandate) was held outside the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo on Saturday (17).
The demonstration was held under the theme “Defeat conspiracies against punishing the corrupt,” with participants opposing alleged attempts to obstruct legal action against individuals accused of corruption.
The protesters initially gathered at Colombo Fort before marching towards Galle Face and holding their demonstration outside the Presidential Secretariat. (Newswire)
