Prison officials at the Badulla Prison have arrested a female suspect after detecting 130 milligrams of suspected “Ice” (crystal methamphetamine) hidden inside a pair of shorts brought for a remand prisoner.
The contraband was discovered on October 19, 2026, during routine search operations conducted by prison officers at the visitor screening area.
Following the detection, the female suspect along with the seized illicit substance were handed over to the Badulla Police Station for further legal proceedings and investigation. (Newswire)
