All preschools and early childhood development centres across Sri Lanka will remain closed on Tuesday, October 27, due to adverse weather conditions, the National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development announced.
The decision comes as heavy rainfall and strong winds continue to affect several parts of the country.
The Department of Meteorology has warned that showers or thundershowers will occur across several provinces, with rainfall exceeding 75 mm expected in some areas.
Strong winds reaching 40–50 km/h are also forecast in parts of the island.
The closure applies to all preschools and early childhood development centres nationwide. (Newswire)
