The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has warned the public against fake and altered official circulars being circulated through social media and messaging applications.
In a statement, the Ministry said it has observed an increasing trend of official circulars being distorted and false information being circulated online.
The Ministry expressed serious concern over such misleading information, which could cause confusion among teachers, principals, students, parents and the general public.
Accordingly, the Ministry urged the public and relevant stakeholders to consider only the circulars published on its official website as accurate and valid.
The public has also been advised not to be misled by fake or altered circulars and to refrain from sharing such information through social media and messaging platforms. (Newswire)
