Swiss airline Edelweiss Air has resumed its winter flight operations to Sri Lanka, reconnecting Switzerland and Sri Lanka with three weekly flights.
According to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), the airline has recommenced its services for the winter season, providing travellers with direct air connectivity between the two countries.
Passengers arriving on the airline’s flight were welcomed with a traditional Kandyan dance performance organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
The airport said the cultural performance was arranged to offer passengers a warm Sri Lankan welcome upon their arrival.
The resumption of Edelweiss Air’s winter operations is expected to support tourist arrivals from Switzerland during Sri Lanka’s peak tourism season. (Newswire)
