The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) will resume its online appointment booking service at its Narahenpita office from November 2, 2026.
The department has requested the public to book appointments online when seeking services related to new vehicle registrations, transfers of vehicle ownership and technical matters.
The move is aimed at reducing long queues and waiting times for people visiting the department, particularly those arriving early in the morning.
