A total of 21 foreign nationals have been arrested for allegedly staying in Sri Lanka without valid visas following a raid conducted in Maradana.
According to the Police Media Division, the arrests were made by officers of the Central Crime Investigation Bureau during a raid on a building near Technical Junction in Maradana on Monday night (02).
The arrested individuals include 12 Chinese nationals, including two women, six Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian nationals.
Police said the suspects were found staying at the premises without valid visas.
The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today (03). (Newswire)
