The Department of Meteorology has forecast fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm in several parts of Sri Lanka today (03).
According to the Met Department, showers or thundershowers are expected at several places across the country after 1.00 p.m., with rainfall exceeding 75 mm likely in some areas.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Southern and Uva provinces and in the Ratnapura and Ampara districts.
The public has been advised to take necessary precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (Newswire)
