Bridging cultures and fostering international friendship, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi teamed up with the Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTCI) and Lions Club Delhi Veg to host “Diwali Dazzle Night 2026” on October 26, 2026.
The vibrant celebration, which brought together diplomats, senior officials, and business leaders, was inaugurated by Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India, Mahishini Colonne, alongside GTTCI President Gaurav Gupta through the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
The evening featured a rich tapestry of cultural performances and international showcases, including a sitar recital by an Israeli diplomat and a painting exhibition by an Iranian artist and her students. Emphasizing Diwali’s universal message of the triumph of light over darkness, the event served as a platform for cultural diplomacy, people-to-people engagement, and celebrating the shared heritage and longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and India (Newswire)
