President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to attend a special interfaith convention tomorrow (Nov.5) as Sri Lanka marks the one-year completion of “Ratama Ekata,” (A Nation United) the national operation launched on October 30, 2025, to eradicate the drug menace.

Announced by the Department of Government Information under the anniversary theme “A Year Rising Together,” the anti-drug operation focuses on preventing trafficking, curbing substance abuse, raising public awareness and rehabilitating affected individuals.

The interfaith convention will take place on November 05, 2026, at 2 PM at Temple Trees, bringing together President Dissanayake and leaders from the Maha Sangha, Hindu, Islamic and Christian communities to promote a unified message against drug abuse.
