The opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), has established power in the Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha.
SJB candidate Indika Prasad Ranasinghe was elected Chairman of the Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha in the election held during the inaugural session of the local council today.
The SJB had secured a majority of seats in the Deraniyagala Pradeshiya Sabha during the 2025 Local Government Election. (Newswire)
