
Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of Kuwait, has announced that it will commence direct flight operations to Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The new service is expected to strengthen air connectivity and provide greater travel opportunities between the two countries.
According to the airline, flights will operate weekly every Wednesday.
The outbound service departs Kuwait at 01:30 hrs and arrives in Colombo at 18:05 hrs, while the return flight departs Colombo at 19:05 hrs and reaches Kuwait at 03:30 hrs.
In addition to the new route, Kuwait Airways is offering eligible passengers a complimentary Saudi Arabia transit visa, enhancing travel flexibility for those transiting via the Kingdom.
To qualify, passengers must hold a valid Kuwaiti residency and a passport valid for more than six months.
