An increase of over 10 percent in bus fares has been assessed following the recent diesel price hike, the National Transport Commission (NTC) said.
The NTC noted that a proposal for the fare revision will be submitted to the Cabinet tomorrow (Monday) for approval.
The move comes amid rising operational costs faced by bus operators after the increase in fuel prices, with authorities considering adjustments to ensure the sustainability of public transport services.
Further details on the revised fare structure are expected to be announced following Cabinet approval. (Newswire)
