Dollar rate : Sri Lankan Rupee strengthens across major banks

The Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated against the US Dollar at most commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (Feb 12), compared to Thursday.

According to Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar has dropped from Rs. 306.65 to Rs. 306.45, while the selling rate has also dropped from Rs. 311.40 to Rs. 311.20.

According to NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 306.15 to Rs. 306 while the selling rate has also reduced from Rs. 312.65 to Rs. 312.5.

People’s Bank reports the buying and selling rates of the US Dollar dropping from Rs. 305.84 to Rs. 305.79 and from Rs. 312.58 to Rs. 312.53 respectively.

At Commercial Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 304.11 to Rs. 303.86 while the selling rate is has reduced from Rs. 312.50 to Rs. 312.25.

According to Sampath Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar remains unchanged at Rs. 306, while the selling rate is also unchanged at Rs. 312.50. (Newswire)
