A dispute over pigeons between two parties in the Meegahawatta area of Peliyagoda this afternoon (18) escalated, resulting in the death of one individual.
The victim was attacked with a sharp weapon and was confirmed dead by doctors upon arrival at Colombo National Hospital. Police identified the deceased as a 38-year-old resident of Oliyamulla, Wattala.
The suspect who carried out the attack was also injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital.
Peliyagoda police are conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
