The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 42-hour water supply interruption in several areas due to maintenance work at the Pujapitiya water treatment plant in Harispaththuwa.
The interruption will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and continue until 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
Affected areas include Medawala (Old and New service tanks), Gallenawatta, Galagedara and Mawathagama, along with surrounding areas.
Residents have been requested to use stored water sparingly during the interruption. The board has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers. (Newswire)
