Beijing witnessed another historic moment in robotics athletics as Chinese humanoid Tian Jiao smashed the 100‑metre sprint record for the second time in as many days at the World Humanoid Robot Games.
On Wednesday’s closing day, Tian Jiao clocked an astonishing 8.64 seconds, nearly a full second faster than Usain Bolt’s human world record of 9.58 seconds set in Berlin in 2009.
The robot had already stunned audiences in the semi‑finals with a time of 8.86 seconds, but its latest run shaved off 0.22 seconds, cementing its dominance. (Newswire)
