The Cabinet has approved a special project to complete investigations into complaints on missing persons by 2027.
The Office on Missing Persons (OMP), established under Act No. 14 of 2016, has so far received 16,966 complaints, of which 10,517 remain under investigation.
The Ministry of Justice and National Integration says 25 sub-committees, comprising 75 members, including retired judges, senior administrators, and lawyers, will be appointed to carry out the work and provide justice to affected families. (Newswire)
