Celebrated media personality, television host, actor, and digital creator Danu Innasithamby was honoured with the Most Popular Supportive Actor of the Year – 2026 award at the prestigious Lanka Chairman’s Awards 2026, held at the iconic Jubilee Ballroom of the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo.

Danu received the recognition for his contribution to the Sri Lankan entertainment industry and for the strong connection he continues to build with audiences through television, digital media, and acting.
Apart from being one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised television personalities through successful platforms such as Date with Danu and Danu on Fire, Danu has also made a mark as an actor through several popular teledramas. He is known for his performances in SEAසෝ on Rupavahini, Tharu Adare on Hiru TV, and 4K on TV Derana, showcasing his versatility and growing presence in mainstream Sri Lankan television drama.
