Showers are expected across several parts of Sri Lanka on Tuesday (Aug. 18), while fairly strong winds could affect a number of provinces, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa Province and the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Several spells of showers are forecast for the Western and North Western provinces and the Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Uva Province and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2 p.m.
Mainly dry weather is expected elsewhere.
Meanwhile, fairly strong winds of around 30-40 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the Central Hills and in the Northern, North Central, North Western and Southern provinces, as well as the Trincomalee District.
