European leisure carrier Smartwings will commence weekly flights from Warsaw, Poland, to Colombo, via Muscat, Oman, starting in December, it is reported.
According to media reports, the airline will also be allowed to carry passengers on the Muscat–Colombo–Muscat sector, with the service operated using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
According to the schedule, the flight will depart Warsaw every Tuesday at 5.30 am and arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at 8.55 pm.
The return flight will depart Colombo at 9.55 pm for Muscat and Warsaw, reaching the Polish capital at 5.40 am on the following day.
Smartwings is the largest Czech airline and one of the fastest-growing carriers in Central Europe.
