Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts. Fairly heavy falls above 75 mm are likely at some places elsewhere.
Therefore, general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
