Registered farmer organisations under the Trincomalee District Office of the Department of Agrarian Development have contributed Rs. 3,746,000 to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to assist those affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The cheque was handed over to Secretary to the President Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat today (18).
The donation was presented by Chief Management Services Officer of the Trincomalee District Office Kandaiyah Neminathan and Chairman of the District Farmers’ Organization B. P. Takshila Deshapriya, on the instructions of Trincomalee District Assistant Commissioner of Agrarian Development Nesaraththinam Vishnudasan. (Newswire)
