Sri Lanka cricketer Dinesh Chandimal has been taken to hospital for a precautionary scan after sustaining an injury during the first Test against India.
Chandimal injured his right shoulder and neck while diving in an attempt to prevent a boundary while fielding during the first session of Day 4.
He was assessed at the ground by the Sri Lanka team physiotherapist and doctor before being taken to hospital for further examination.
The scan is being conducted as a precaution, with further updates on Chandimal’s condition expected once the results are available. (Newswire)
