Sanjaya Samarasinghe, the private secretary to Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organiser and MP Namal Rajapaksa, has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
Samarasinghe appeared before the Bribery Commission on Monday (19), following which he was taken into custody.
His residence in Mount Lavinia was searched by Bribery Commission officials on October 17, during which a safe found inside the house was taken into custody.
