The diplomatic service of Prageeth Senevirathne as the Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Mombasa has been extended.

The extension was finalized on October 2, 2026, when Sri Lanka’s Acting High Commissioner to Kenya, Ruvini De Silva, formally presented the Letter of Extension of Service to Senevirathne.

During the meeting, both officials discussed strategies to deepen diplomatic and economic ties between Sri Lanka and the Mombasa region, focusing on expanding bilateral trade, encouraging new investments and boosting tourism cooperation.

Senevirathne has served as the Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Mombasa since 2023, contributing to the promotion of Sri Lanka’s interests and strengthening institutional and people-to-people relations in the region. (Newswire)
