Actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today (10), marking a major shift in the state’s political landscape.
The oath of office was administered by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
Vijay, the founder of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), secured enough support to form the government after the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly election, in which his party emerged as the single largest party with 108 seats.
