A 54-year-old man has died after being struck by lightning in the Lahugala area of Pottuvil on the night of May 4.
Police said the victim was inside a makeshift hut built on a tree in a paddy field at the time of the incident.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased was a resident of Lahugala.
Pottuvil Police are conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
