No ICC Board Representation, Elections Needed: Fresh ICC Notice for SLC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has reiterated that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will continue to be barred from representation at ICC Board meetings until further notice, despite acknowledging progress towards a revised constitution.

The decision was announced following the conclusion of the ICC Board’s Annual Meetings in Edinburgh.

In a statement, the ICC said the Board had received an update on the situation at Sri Lanka Cricket and noted progress in drafting a revised constitution.

However, the Board stressed the need for elections to be held “as soon as possible” and agreed that Sri Lanka Cricket would remain unable to be represented at ICC Board meetings for the time being.

The latest decision means SLC’s suspension from ICC Board representation remains in effect until the governance issues are resolved and elections are conducted. (Newswire)
