The water supply interruption affecting several areas of Colombo and its suburbs has been extended until 11.30 p.m. Friday (4), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.
The extension is required to allow repair work to continue on a leak in the transmission pipeline, according to the Water Board.
The water cut had initially been scheduled to end at 8 p.m. Friday following essential maintenance work at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant. (Newswire)
