A vessel carrying coal for the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Power Plant has arrived in Puttalam, as part of the fuel supply scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
The vessel, IVS Trader, is expected to begin unloading the coal later Friday (4), following the completion of quality and other required checks by the relevant authorities.
Energy, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilaka visited the Lakvijaya Power Plant on Friday morning to inspect the coal stocks and related arrangements. (Newswire)
